چکیده
Ancient potteries found at Ban Muang Bua, located in northeastern Thailand, associate with Thung Kula Ronghai culture. Most of them are products used daily life and grave goods. The potsherds were examined using techniques based on X-ray spectroscopy. Elemental composition morphology analyzed proton-induced emission spectroscopy (PIXE) scanning electron microscopy coupled energy-dispersive (SEM-EDS). Three-dimensional analysis was performed tomographic synchrotron radiation (SR XTM). Irregular plate-like particles composites a wide range size distribution the potsherds. major (O, Si, Al), minor (C, Fe, Ca, K), trace elements (P, S, Ti, Na, Mg, Zn) which observed can provide information about raw materials production pottery. 3D images show internal feature these samples. combination SEM-EDS, PIXE, SR XTM is powerful tool for archaeological research especially terms structure. results imply that pottery sandy soil derived from marine sands, clays, salt deposits mostly iron-rich-kaolin clay. carried out low firing temperatures (~600–900 °C) open-air kilns.

3D Reconstruction of Archaeological Pottery using Profile Primitives
The archivation process of ancient pottery is a very time consuming but important task for archaeologists. The basis for classification and reconstruction is the profile which is the cross section of the fragment in the direction of the rotational axis. In this work a bottom up design using a description language is the basis for the automatic classification and reconstruction. The description ...
متن کاملCharacterization of chromodulin by X-ray absorption and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopies and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
The biologically active form of the essential trace element chromium is believed to be the oligopeptide chromodulin. Chromodulin binds four chromic ions before binding at or near the active site of activating insulin receptor and subsequently potentiating the tyrosine kinase activity of the receptor. Charge balance arguments and preliminary spectroscopic studies suggested that the chromic cente...
متن کاملTime-resolved X-ray spectroscopies of chemical systems: New perspectives
The past 3-5 years have witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of time-resolved X-ray spectroscopic studies, mainly driven by novel technical and methodological developments. The latter include (i) the high repetition rate optical pump/X-ray probe studies, which have greatly boosted the signal-to-noise ratio for picosecond (ps) X-ray absorption spectroscopy studies, while enabling ps X-ray...
